Gizmo Dorks flexible filament is based off of TPU, which is Thermoplastic Polyurethane. TPU flexible filament is a soft bendable plastic that retains it's shape and form. It is a strong durable filament that is comparable to rubber. TPU filament has wonderful properties such as semi-transparency and elasticity. TPU plastic is also resistant to oils and grease.
There are many practical uses for TPU as a material, and TPU can be found in my everyday applications. You will find TPU being used anywhere from car parts to power tools and medical devices. TPU is also a popular plastic used in protective cases for cell phones and tablets.
